This is one of the busiest attractions in Canada’s Rocky Mountains, which is a highway pullover with a view of the country’s largest cement plant on the banks of Lac des Arcs. Just behind that, a strip mine wearing down Grotto Mountain. The EcoDome, in the middle of the photo, is 35m tall and 100m diameter, can be seen from the TransCanada Highway, houses materials used in the process of producing cement and reduces the spread of dust. #OnTheRoad

Such a place resides along Highway 579 in Alberta - the Water Valley Saloon. This eclectic stop along the highway is loved by locals and bikers passing through on their way to the Rocky Mountains. The food is great and so is the service. You will feel right at home in this cozy haunt. Don't forget to get your free basket of peanuts so you can toss the shells on the floor after your feast.
