Westgate Modern Thorpeness was conceived by Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie in the early 20th century as a private holiday village. This is Westgate, a road off The Whinlands. We had a very comfortable stay in a very spacious and clean room. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Both the breakfasts and dinners were absolutely delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend a stay at this charming hotel.

Superior Double room was pretty good and spacious. Toilet seat (a replacement?) a little bit small for the pan😢 no semi skimmed milk sachets in the room, just full fat.
