"Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed."

"No lift to rooms, only a mature female was available, she offered to take luggage. No fridge in the room and no iron in the room. Had to carry iron and ironing board from reception to the bedroom. Not a great choice for vegetarians."

"Hope Cove is a lovely place to stay. Food at the Hope and Anchor was five star. Staff were friendly. We did feel however that certain parts needed more attention. There was thick dust under the dresser in restaurant area. There is a paying car park next door which was £12 for 24 hours."

"We only stayed one night but we can honestly say the Hotel was above our expectations the staff were friendly and welcoming our room was spacious clean and beautifully decorated and quiet. The breakfast was freshly cooked that we pre ordered last night and delicious much better the the buffet style.There was plenty of choice of cereals fresh fruit salad yoghurts and a hot drinks machine. "We had a lovely stay there with our family. The cottage we stayed in had all amenities and plenty of space. The cottage didn’t have AC but there was a fan and the staff was accommodating when we asked for a second one. The pool and facilities were well maintained and clean. The restaurant was okay for something on site. Beautiful location by the river. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay."
