"The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was spacious, bright, airy and clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The amenities were basic but I had everything I needed, including a much needed fan as it was a hot day! The hotel itself is nothing special, the decor is a little run down and in need of a paint job in some areas. My bathroom had rust in the bath and the finish was needing some tlc. The front entrance to the hotel clearly had a no smoking sign which was ignored as it had...

"Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. "

"The property is at a very calm place and has been running since 1650 which is amazing fact. The room I’ve stayed in was a attic converted into a room. The room and bed was good but felt a old smell which needs made it feel that it needs a room freshner across the rooms and houses. There was good and spacious car park and within 10-15 min drive from lot of English heritage sites. I would like to see a bottled water in rooms along with towels as it felt wrong to grab water from sink. The staff...

"A very nice and clean place to stay for a night or two. We stayed in a standard double room for 1 x night and was comfortable and clean room. Ate in the bar restaurant and food was really tasty and staff friendly. "

"On arrival at Bell Cottage we were met by occupants who directed us around the corner to the owner's house. The owner was not in but able to communicate via the Ring doorbell. We were greeted warmly and told where to collect the keys to a different property with en-suite and a shared kitchen, situated to the the left of the owner's house. So a bit of confusion to start with, but the attic room we occupied was lovely, cosy, comfy and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay. "

We stayed in the annex but no one who was mobility problems, or is tall or heavy should stay there -- it is difficult to maneuver under the low ceilings. "
