"I was able to book a room, check in, and check out without talking to another person. I was fine with that, but some people may want more of a personal touch. The room was clean. However, the room smelled like sewer for most of the night, only fading when we took a shower. The refrigerator in the room did not work, spoiling our leftovers. It was quiet, most likely because the hotel was fairly empty. The breakfast in the morning was included but not good. Pancakes made by a robot, did not taste right. Eggs and sausage were fine, same with the cereal. Coffee and pastries were bad. Serviceable as a place to stop off to go to sleep but I would not recommend as a place to stay for multiple nights. It is about a 7 minute drive to Mount Rushmore which was convenient, and there are lots of quotes from Teddy Roosevelt for you to enjoy. 2/5 stars"

"We travelled with our 2 dogs, reserved one of the apartments. It was clean, had a little kitchenette with fridge, microwave and a small stove, a Keurig machine, a small sitting room with sleeper sofa, table with 2 chairs, a big screen TV, and a full bathroom with bathtub/shower. The furniture was a bit aged (bed and sofa excepted) but clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff (Lliam at night and Connie in the morning) was friendly and helpful. Connie was especially lovely and attentive. Great experience all in all, highly recommend :-)"
