"It was great experience staying at this place. Right after we went to gala Yuzawa ski came back to the hotel and dipped ourselves into the large Ofuro in the basement. Smoking was not allowed inside or well outside the house so it was the only problem me and my friends faced during the stay but all in all we enjoyed our stay at the place. Place is warm and cozy. Recommend for friends and family or in groups over 5 people. "

"It’s hard to say what the most important thing is for a hotel stay. Is it 1) the property and room, 2) the food or 3) the staff? Well, it doesn’t matter with this property cause you’re winning on all 3. Quiet location at the end of summer/beginning of autumn, room size was good, room was clean, bed was fairly comfortable, bedding was great (the best pillows of the 8 hotels I’ve stayed in Japan). "Location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk from the station and chair lift. Kitchen staff is very thoughtful. I stayed for 3 nights, although all 3 nights were hot pot for dinner with the same ingredients, the soup base was different for every night. Staff are super friendly, making you feel welcome. The only issue I had was on the first night when there kids staying and they ran around the whole lodge making all sort of noise until late."

"Classic modern Japanese Inn with shared bathrooms and onsen, tatami rooms with Japanese bedding. No mens room on the 2nd floor. No staff, check-in and out automated. Basic facilities but all working order. Clean and Good location for exploring Yuzawa area, if you are comfortable with Japanese style travel."
