The breakfast fruit items were slightly overripe. The ceiling of the room had some cobwebs. Overall the hotel was excellent. Very good period features to the property and staff were very helpful and polite.

Lovely hotel

Lovely people, excellent food and lovely position. Such an easy place to spend quality time with people we love. We had an excellent Sunday roast with the older generation, met friends and enjoyed the cafe by the sea and used as a base to visit other friends.

The Osborne hotel is beautifully positioned on what feels like cots own private bay, away from the busier parts of Torquay. It has lovely views, good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. We really enjoyed our three nights.

This is an historic older hotel with one of the most beautiful ocean views in the entire Devon region. Their front patio is wonderful to have a drink or light meal on and the English breakfast is quite good.. On the slightly down side, their mattress was too firm for us and the bathroom had a retrofitted bath/shower combination which was quite high off the floor (one needs to be quite careful not to slip in the shower or the fall could be dangerous).

Sadly, our stay at the Osborne Hotel wasn’t great as we didn’t get any sleep. Unfortunately, the ceilings are extremely thin, and the guest above us walked heavily throughout the entire night, which made it impossible to rest. Breakfast was quite disappointing. The selection was very limited, and cappuccinos were only available at an extra charge. The sausages were overcooked and seemed reheated. On checkout, there was no one available at reception — we stood waiting for quite some time with no staff in sight. On a positive note, had we been able to sleep, the room itself was very nice. It was spacious, with a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was also big and featured a modern, new shower. The views are absolutely stunning, with beautiful sea views that are truly a highlight of the hotel. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, especially considering it was off-season, which was surprising. Overall, the hotel has potential due to the rooms and views, but the lack of sleep, breakfast quality, and service issues really let the stay down.

Lovely family friendly traditional English hotel.

Very nice older/traditional style hotel in a lovely position. Outdoor pool was perfect for the kids. Good walking distance into Torquay also - kids managed it fine, twice there and back! Great size family room. Would recommend.

Great Views and Nice Room

Really lovely hotel with great views. Breakfast a real treat. Rooms are a very generous size and a sea view is beautiful. Don’t like the policy of authorising £150 on your bank card on check in. Not released for 5 to 10 days is not acceptable.

Fantastic views . Pool area could be kept cleaner and no toilet near so not the best for people with mobility issues . Breakfast was great till last day which was not eatable even after being sent back Room spacious and sea view great .
