"We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and have yet to hear back from a Manager regarding the numerous complaints we had with the service experienced. To begin with, I will note the positives: Clean room Friendly staff Beautiful views Now the negatives: Upon checking into our room at 7pm (following a telephone conversation had earlier in the morning regarding our children and dog joining us) we discovered that the extra beds were not in our room ready for our children to sleep on....

"We enjoyed this because very quiet and has everything you need. Outside area, pub, dining and excellent staff. The room was clean and appealing"

"The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in the disabled access room which was very good. The only thing we would say is the the toilet is very low for a disabled person, even with the grab bars. "

"Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out...

"Accomodation was perfect. A hidden gem. Sunday Roast is amazing. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Will definitely use the Coach & Horses at Rosugeon again. "

"Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help."

"Bit of a mix up with the bill when checking out but sorted quickly by the night manager. Restaurant service was slow especially if busy, staff were great . Spa was good. Would definitely stay again"

"A beautiful place, delicious breakfast though items were missing like bowls, spoons, milk, beans, sausages. We thought about going to get the milk for them. Disappointingly the steam room was out of order. Sadly, they no longer serve dinner but do offer small plates. The staff are fab, though one very noisy waitress at breakfast bashes things as she clears up. There’s a fire to warm you on chilly evenings. Enjoyed the games on offer with our nightcap. Suggestion: A gutter around the pool would...

"We were given a different room to the one we booked. The room was smelling strongly of air freshener to cover the smell from the drains. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The evening meal was awful and took over 2hrs for 2 courses, the waitress ended up in tears after all the complaints. The receptionist tried her best to sort things out but was fighting a loosing battle. All in all not a good stay, luckily we only stayed one night - never again!!!"
