"I don't know that I will stay here again but this has nothing to do with the staff. While we were sleeping sometime after midnight, loud music playing right outside of our room woke us up, along with cigarette smell. A men was standing right outside blasting music on his phone and smoking. We asked him if he can stop his music, which he denied he was playing. "It’s an older, dated hotel that kept its charm. Room was a nice size & clean. A fantastic breakfast was included and having a restaurant & bar on property was nice. Bed was the most comfortable but room was a great size, quiet & clean. Staff was nice. Wish it had a hot tub with the pool but that’s ok. Really great value!"

"While, the lodge is charming, our room was freezing. We had the fireplace and heat as high as it would go. the room never got above 60. There was no blanket on our bed and no blankets were available in our room. The desk was unmanned after 11 and phone messages were unanswered. Hopefully, this issue has been corrected. "

"Currently under construction, so not all amenities are available at the current moment, but this hotel is great for if you just need a safe affordable place to sleep. Massive sturdy building. Probably a great place to be if there was a tornado. Every staff person i have encountered was very kind and helpful. Would recommended to anyone traveling on a budget. Good value for the price. "

"Hotel and room nice and clean as per Hampton Inn as usual, no issues. Only issue was the lady at check-in, seemingly no idea how to talk to customers, not social at all. Not the first impression one wants upon entering a hotel."

"I was shocked when I saw the condition of the building. So much work needed to be done in our bathroom. In the hallways. My boyfriend even noticed that there was no emergency certificate in the elevator. Makes you wonder if they're up to date or up to code. In addition to the poor condition to the building it must not be insulated too well because we could literally hear every step they were taking above us. Even in the middle of the night it was just noisy. I do not recommend this location."

"Only thing lacking in La Porte near the Blue Heron was EV chargers. Had a wonderful event at the Civic Center and will look forward to a stay during warm weather."

"My room smelled of cat pee. My coffee maker did not work at all. The breakfast they served was just unbeatable. I had to ask them to change my sheets and empty my trash!! The vending machines were nowhere near acceptable! The night manager was rude! The floor i was on smelled of pure weed!! NOT ACCEPTABLE!! "

"This Hotel is completely adequate. It’s definitely not the Hyatt but good bang for your buck. Not many breakfast options but I’m not much of a breakfast eater so the yogurt they had was fine with me. They also had fruit, rolls,coffee and tea. Staff( Cindy) was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Very easy parking. Dairy Queen Grill next door and Culvers across street made for quick meal. Breakfast was hot, Coffee was STOUT. I will stay here again"
