"Very quick check in with very friendly staff. Room was on ground floor and a good size. Very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was good and again staff in the restaurant were very helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay again."

"Very disappointed with the volume of dogs in the property. No designated areas in restaurant and one particular dog was allowed to sit on the bench seating unchallenged by staff , very poor management intervention! All bedrooms apparently “dog friendly!” Was not a nice experience and will not be returning. Finally, where was the pool and spa facilities ? Certainly not in the hotel!"

"A wonderful, clean,air condtioned room and staff can be contacted 24/7 if any problems. Bed was very comfortable and being left a small bottle of milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Parking was no problem at all in front of buillding. Did have any food but all looked lovely. Would definately recommend."

"The room was clean and the staff friendly. I probably would not come here again mainly because they do not serve breakfast. Their website states that breakfast is made to order and I recall seeing it on the expedia page but then was notified a day before about where to go for food instead. I asked on arrival and they have not served breakfast in 3 years. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. The shower had someone else's soap in it and the body wash was never renewed after use. "I recently stayed at Hotel du Vin York and, to be fair, the stay itself was pleasant overall. The room was comfortable, the hotel has a nice atmosphere, and I paid for one of the top-tier rooms expecting a premium experience consistent with previous stays I’ve had not only here, but at other Hotel du Vin properties across the country. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by an issue involving my vehicle during the stay, which has since cost me more than £30 in car washes, over an hour...
