"I wanted to know if they could give me a room with a shower tray. No reply.
I needed to cancel due to illness and then neither I could get hold of them. As a result I had to pay for a hotel I could not use.
Expedia were unable to sort out this issue.
Such poor communication means I will not use this hotel ever.
I also am disappointed Expedia could not get the hotel to agree to basic customer service like being responsive to customer enquiries"

"We really enjoyed our stay at The George. It was authentic, absolutely clean as a whistle and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. It is an authentic old inn so there were some creaky floors but it fine for us. The staff and the food were amazing. I would stay here again."

"The property is lovely and it is UPHILL from the train station - a note to those with heavy suitcases. Also if you’re coming from abroad, make sure to screenshot your door code before arrival as there is no front desk person. Other than that is was one of my favorite places I stayed in England. Breakfast was wonderful and filling! The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cute and you could tell lots of care went into the interior design. I hope to return to lovely Bath and the Tyndall one day!"

"I loved our one night here. It was a stop off on the way further south but I wish we could have stayed longer. So peaceful. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay happen, even when we arrived late. We ate our breakfast outside in the courtyard which was idyllic. The food was gorgeous. We shopped in the farm shop afterwards and bought more than we needed as it all looked (and was) so good. A really lovely stay. Wished we could have stayed longer. Really ovely room. ...

The property was so sweet, the room clean, cute and comfortable. The location excellent, close to Bath but a quiet oasis out of the hustle and bustle.

"*AVOID AT ALL COSTS*
We booked a stay in the Superior Room. We never received the code to get into the building. Upon attempting to open the door without the code, it was simply unlocked! (No security.) Had to call the property manager for room key access. Upon inspecting our room, we spotted the following:
Bathroom: tub rotting, grout and cocking in series disrepair, ventilation fan broken, ceiling bubbling, toilet valve broken, two mosquitos and two small flies in bathroom, cobwebs, spring...

"A little farther of a walk to the main area of Bath than anticipated and parking was not overly convenient if you are traveling with any amount of luggage. The room was nicely decorated although quite small and not the most comfortable bed. We only stayed one night here, so it was tolerable. Bath itself was quite lovely though!"
