"The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. As we arrived back from Gatwick very late at night we had asked for rooms near reception and they were very close , so that was really helpful. Breakfast next morning was superb. Thank you to all the staff."

"It’s a picturesque old pub with an extensive garden area and a large parking space. It’s quite classy indoors and we were impressed by both the sophisticated dinner menu and the food itself - very good.We were welcomed warmly and shown to the Cowdray Room, which opens on to the beer garden. That wasn’t a problem as the pub closes at 10, and then it was an advantage as we were able to sit outside for breakfast with the place to ourselves. The pub will cook breakfast but not until 10.30 am, so...

"Second time I've stayed and is my, 'Go to' when working in West Sussex. Paddy the owner is very organised, the apartment spotlessly clean, on site parking directly outside the apartment, a couple of minutes off the motorway. "

Its such a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, with a quiet and relaxing back patio to enjoy with your free beverages, and a lounge area too. My room was so comfortable. "As another reviewer stated, it's a bit quirky in decor and furnishings. Needs heavier drapes or shades on windows and layout of the family "suite" unusual with access to the tiny loo room and shower through the smaller bedroom, which doesn't have a door. Lovely host, good coffee/tea selection."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"Stayed a few times previously, it’s less than a 10min walk to south terminal but be aware it’s not covered if it’s raining. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was extremely comfortable. Stay was let down by the bar which seemed to have a stock issue when we were there, several of the taps not working (no indication of this like an upturned glass etc) and various bottles of wine not available. Staff on the bar were a bit surly about it but probably fed up of having to keep say “no, run out” every few...
