"A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. "My friend and I stopped here overnight on our way to Cornwall. The area is beautiful and it's a nice old estate/manor. The rooms were clean, but a little dated. It must've been a wedding party that stayed overnight, as we heard all of them in the courtyard and hallways at 7 am, so the walls are extremely thin. Fine for a one night stay."

"Clean and comfortable room. Perfect location with short walk to The Hoe and Barbican. There are eight car park spaces on a first come basis. We were able to get one as we arrived at the earliest checkin. We would definitely stay again."

"We had a large, comfortable room with a small balcony & a Estuary view . The bathroom was small but clean. There ws a shortage of complentory tea & coffee. We only had 2 teabags daily 4 milks.. As we were staying during the heatwave we could certainly have done with a small fridge, & definitely some complimentary water. There was plenty of car parking on site. We enjoyed the choice of breakfast. Overall we had a very good two night stay."

"We had a lovely stay at China Fleet Club. The staff were professional, friendly, and always happy to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well presented. Unfortunately, we had no hot water when we arrived, but after reporting the issue it was fixed within about an hour, which we appreciated. I also had a massage during our stay, and Emma was wonderful – very professional and made the experience incredibly relaxing. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would happily return."
