"Ace Hotel is away from the very touristy and busy center of Kyoto, yet is had a lot of restaurants and shops around it. If you are a good walker, you can walk to Kyoto Station, Nishiki Market and even the Imperial Palace. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room is quite large and comfortable. There is a Stumptown Café downstairs."

"This property is directly across the street from the Nijo Train Station — with connections for buses and subways – so it was extremely convenient to get around Kyoto, without the congestion of other areas closer to Kyoto center. We had a king-size in a room with a small table and two chairs, mini-fridge, water heater, iron, hair dryer, and large tv. Comfortable and clean. "Great location close to Kyoto station. Coffee/tea area in reception great. Welcome drink each night was a nice touch, and enjoying it while listening to live music. The hotel layout is interesting being open air - was very cold when we were there so the heaters and fire pits were great. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. An extra pillow would have been appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. "
