"I needed somewhere to stay close to a festival venue and Newby Bridge Hotel fitted the brief. The staff on reception desk were helpful and welcoming. The main hotel building shows signs of age and wear and tear in the corridors but the bedroom itself was clean and comfortable. The breakfast experience was a bit hit and miss - even before halfway through service things were running out and not replaced quickly. Staff were obviously working hard but the dining room was busy: there was also debris on the floor and tables not cleared quickly. Food was good and when dishes were replenished there was a good selection of cereals and continental style options as well as cooked items. Parking was a bit of an issue - perhaps the bays could be repainted to help clarify where 'double' rows are and assist with guests parking considerately and ensuring everyone is accommodated. I would however use this hotel again."

"A lovely place to stay . The hot tub was amazing the water was lovely and hot . It was very clean , we had everything we needed . The farm dogs were lovely they come to greet us when we got there . The owners are very friendly . The location is stunning , it’s surrounded by fields and there are donkeys , cows nearby which made it really nice . Would highly recommend staying there . Thanks for making it a lovely stay for us ."
