"So glad we found the Nightshade Inn and Gardens. We just needed a place to stay for one night. It was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the snacks in our room, fresh fruit, and pastries for breakfast. Morning coffee was very good."

"Clean, good room. Got a reservation when rooms in the area were very difficult to find. The hotel is old and in need of some repairs, but the price was right and there were no problems at all. If you want five star luxury, this is not your place. The breakfast is a nice plus! Serves it's purpose very well."

"first room the TV did not work , staff upgraded me to a suite. 1. faucets were horribly corroded in the suite. I have pictures . 2 mold at the bottom left on the mirror 3 the hide a bed was in very bad shape looking at it i could see a large gap and the inner workings of the couch where one's knees would be if sitting. 4 about a 1.5 inch hole in the carpet in front of the bathroom door. 5 Hair was in the shower/tub making it unusable . "We enjoyed our stay at the Auburn Holiday Inn. The check in process smooth and we found all the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast groupons offered at time of booking our room seemed to be a great choice. We really enjoyed our breakfast choices and the food was very good."

"The room smelled like someone's basement. Severely dated rooms with furniture and linens of a 1980's vibe. Air conditioner was good, water pressure in the shower was decent, only interacted with the staff once and no issues. I will likely look to stay somewhere else if I'm in the area"

"Gothic is an old property that is definitely showing its age the staff was great and very helpful the breakfast was great if all you want is a waffle and have an hour to wait (it was quite busy when we were there)our room had a smell that not very pleasant we needed the laundry facilities and they were borderline scary not to mention the used condom on floor"

"Breakfast area was very small with only 1 table. Did not stay for breakfast. Rug in room was filthy. Had to wash my feet after walking on the rug and that was after I took a shower. Washcloth came back gray. I did take a photo of washcloth. For some reason my computer won't import my photo from my phone. TV was plugged into a dead outlet. Had to relocate TV plug to get TV to work. Bed was comfy and A/C worked well. Bathroom had an underlying scent of urine."
