"This was the perfect place to stay while we were in town to see the Detroit Red Wings play the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena. We parked overnight at US Steel Tower Garage (44 Bigelow Ave), which was right across from the hotel, and then could easily walk to the hotel from there. We then walked 5 mins to the arena to see the game. The hotel was quiet and very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. It was a nice stay and the suite we stayed was a great place to hang out for the evening. We did not get breakfast or dinner but there is a restaurant on site. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again. "

"We loved the layout of the room. Kitchen was useful. Rugs, couch and mattress were stained but rest of room clean. Furniture worn. All normal wear and tear. Sadie was SOOO helpful and rest of staff really nice."

"Quite enjoyed our stay at The Placemkr. Our room was clean and comfortable, the valet parking was convenient & efficient, and the staff there and at reception were friendly and helpful. Blackout curtains would’ve helped, as we were across from the bus/train stations and there were only Venetian blinds to block out the light. Otherwise we quite enjoyed our stay. Also, great curb appeal!"

"The breakfast was good, they had yogurt/parfait ingredients, eggs, sausage, cereal, variety of bread choices including donuts. I liked it. Rooms were clean and amenities are solid. Pool and gym etc."
