Every morning we enjoyed the complimentary coffee. The staff was wonderful and we loved the quiet walks along the canals to get to the center of town (about 15 mins). "The rooms are located right at the walking center of Leiden in a lovely restored building on one of the loveliest canals. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Turn left out the door to the public market and the main shopping streets. Turn right to the lovely Pieterskerk (c 1221), many nice restaurants on the Cloksteg and the old academic buildings of the venerable Leiden University and it’s famous gardens."

"Firstly this isn’t a hotel. It’s a self-service apartment. No breakfast! We didn’t meet a member of staff during our 3 day stay. The room was stunning, super view out onto the canal, plenty of space across two floors (duplex). I’m nearly 70, live in a bungalow and suffer mild back problems occasionally. "Location was a stone throw from Leiden central station which convenient if you are travelling to nearby places. About a 5-10 min walk to the city center. Room was a good size and comfortable. Shower pressure was great! And the bathroom size is good. Note that the bathroom has frosted windows and is see through, it can be covered with curtains (from the outside). "The building and location are lovely. The suite was nice but a bit worn down—it would benefit from some TLC given the price. A staff member who helped us check out was lovely and kind. The staff member who helped us check in was unhelpful and very sour, borderline rude. Not a good fit for the hospitality business. Warning; though the room was advertised and billed for 4 people, when we asked for linens for the sofa bed they charged us 50E. On the other hand, there was no compensation for...

"quick check-in, convenient location, standard room"

"We stayed in a 4 bed room - clean and spacious bathroom, with a bath. Secure bike storage and only a few mins walk to attractions. Recommended!"

"Convenient location, the staff was very helpful too! The rooms were spacious enough, and the layout really worked for two people. I noticed there was dirty cutlery and dishware in the room when we checked in. I placed the cutlery aside so it would get taken away/replaced each day, but it would end up back next to the coffee maker, and was not getting replaced. This was a bit disappointing, but we otherwise had a nice stay."

"Clean, well -run, loved the quirky decor. Although it"s on a busy little street with bars and "coffee shops" and there can be noise at night, it"s very secure (four automatically locking doors between our studio and the street). Central and close to the station. You can easily do day trips all over the Randstad. The staff are very nice. Don't worry about arriving when reception is shut, the digital keys work."

"We arrived late so no reception but instructions were clear to get to room. Unfortunately the hotel and room smell like a barn but u get used to it. We woke up early to a ton of seagulls attacking the garbage bags for a few hours starting at 4:3am that was in bags just beside the hotel. I don’t know if I would rush back to this place. But the breakfast and receptionist at Rembrandt were good and the location is nice (other than being beside two big garbage bins) Thanks."

"Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft. Man muss auf dem Weg zu den Zimmern durch das Restaurant an den essenden Kunden. Mit Kinderwagen und 2 Koffern, wurden die anderen Gäste etwas gestört. Ansonsten alles gut"
