"We stay here regularly whilst visiting family. I love it because everyone is very friendly, the beds are super comfy and there is a bath in the bathroom. It's walking distance into town even after a few drinks in the very reasonably priced bar! It's dog friendly too. Big carpark and surprisingly quiet after the bar closes. Usually football on the TV in the bar which keeps my husband happy (depending on play...) 😅 The Highfield is always our first choice when planning to come to Boro."

"I didn’t actually stay here I checked in and was shown to the room I went in the smell was over whelming the sheets on the bed look dirty the flooring was worn with gaps and had not been hoovered. I left as I would not stay in such a dump and booked in another hotel "

"Great room. Plenty of space. All necessary items in room. Staff downstairs were very helpful whenever asked. Breakfast was a massive choice of items and staff couldn't do enough. The coffee was great! Perfect for our stay. Have stayed there before and will stay again."

"Basic but clean and comfortable, decent value for the price. Each apartment is 2-bed so kitchen and bathroom are only shared with one other guest room. Was upgraded from single to a double for no extra charge. The people upstairs were up all night but that could happen anywhere."

"The general condition of the hotel is poor, old, tired and a bit scruffy. The rooms just about fit the bill, but the bathrooms are very small. The staff are hit n miss, the cleaning ladies were friendly enough the night shift staff were completely incompetent, and don't expect room service, I had to order in a pizza!! "The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. "
