"When I arrived at the hotel. There was a young girl working at the desk. She checked me in and told me I was on the first floor. When I entered my room, it was not mountain view. It is parking lot view. My reservation stated Mountain View . I came out and spoke to the clerk. The clerk then called the manager. After the clerk explained to the manager, we were in the wrong room , the manager said she would be back within a hour. The clerk told the manager that I wanted to speak with her when she arrived. The manager didn’t return for an hour and 45 minutes after saying she would be back in an hour. When the manager arrived, the clerk came to the room to tell me the manager had arrived. When I came out to discuss the situation with the manager she said this is a special deal. This is what I get with Expedia. Which is very untrue. I travel often. I’ve always been treated well everywhere. Getting special restaurant privileges etc.After about 15 minutes of speaking with the manager. The manager turns to the clerk and asks her if she checked the calendar for said day. Clerk stated yes and there were no available rooms. The manager takes a look then start to blame the clerk stating that the clerk could have put me in a room that a customer had not checked into . Within seconds the clerk asked if she wanted her there. The manager placed the blame on the clerk. This should have been a teaching moment. Instead the clerk left very upset and jobless. Room ok.
