3rd time staying here. Connected to Jr utsunomiya station. Corner twin room spacious , and bed pretty good. However breadfast does not really change and staying 4 nites can be tiring. Onsen is quite good, with an outside pool. Use this hotel to visit nikko as jr local train is so comvenient. Also use JR to travel tohuku region like sendai n morioka.

A Convenient and Comfortable Stay in Utsunomiya Whenever I visit Utsunomiya, I always choose Candeo Hotels Utsunomiya because of its unbeatable location. It's directly connected to Utsunomiya Station, making it incredibly convenient whether you're arriving by train or heading out for the day. The room is spacious enough to fully open large suitcases, which is something I always appreciate. I especially like the long daybed by the window—it provides a comfortable place to relax, read, or simply enjoy the view. The hotel is also connected to Utsunomiya Terrace, where you'll find a variety of restaurants and a supermarket, making meals and shopping extremely convenient. The hotel has self-service washers and dryers, and payments can be made through a phone app, which is very convenient. However, the dryers cost ¥200 for every 10 minutes, so doing laundry can become a bit expensive. Guests also have complimentary access to the Sky Spa on the top floor. While it's a beautiful facility, it's not a natural hot spring (onsen). During my three-night stay, I only visited it once because I found it more relaxing to soak in the bathtub in my own room rather than take the elevator up to the 14th floor. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, with a good variety of choices. My only suggestion would be to provide trays, as it would make it much easier to carry multiple dishes and drinks in one trip instead of making several trips back and forth.
