"The staff was wonderful, but the property itself gives Holiday Inn Express—the towels were old and fraying (in the room and by the pool), the bathroom had mildew along all the caulking and the air conditioner rattled like a 1997 Dodge Neon. It was convenient and fine if you want proximity to fields, and, again, the staff are all incredible, but the facility itself is in need of some TLC. "

"We had a great stay at Kompose Boutique Hotel in Sarasota. Everything was clean, modern and very well organized. The staff was friendly and helpful during our entire stay. The breakfast was very good and nicely prepared every morning. It was a great way to start the day before going out. The location is also very convenient – it’s a short drive to the beaches and many restaurants nearby. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back again. Thank you for the great hospitality! "

"It was the Girls weekend in Sarasota, so 4 of us, ladies stayed at Carlisle for the 1st time and we were literally impressed. Pictures does not do any justice. It is beautiful, very clean, very nice staff at reception and all over the hotel. Rooms are very spacious , and you get walk in closet, two sinks , one of them outside the shower room , excellent concept! Two of my friends wanted also to add to this review. D said : “ Couldn’t have been in been any better” J said : “the hotel was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the extra wide hallways, the deep blue coloring throughout, we had adjoining rooms which were giant, the headboard were beautiful” So yes! We will definitely revisit. BTW you have a very nice restaurant and an Amish bakery on the property, so yummy! Beside the complimentary hot breakfast we got complimentary fresh made cookies at 4pm from the bakery in the hotel’s lobby. The only regret we had is that we couldn’t stay longer! "

"One of my worst experiences in years. TV was all static, had to call for help, wait for someone to arrive to tell me to dial 251 on remote get to a very non-functional guide. Charged $4 for a coke from the bar gun because it was 'free refills'...I just wanted one coke. "Guest" Laundry was full of resort towels for a couple hours... Didn't restock our Keurig, and then charged us $9 for coffee - same dumb reason and again...we just wanted one cup of coffee. The resort has free ice tee - but not free basic coffee in the morning. Trying to deal with climate control with a 20 button remote that made no sense and was just icons that you couldn't really see sucked and temp in the room was very up and down. Black-out curtains don't actually cover the whole window and lights left on right outside, lot of light coming in from hallway through 2" gap in door. Then, after we finally decided to roll with all the above - on our second to last morning, we checked Breakfast time, open till 11 it said. We show up at 10:37 and were refused service, they said "there isn't enough people staying here to keep it open so we closed 7 minutes ago"..... I asked where that was posted or how did they try and let us know as we had been in the room all morning and could have had breakfast earlier...front desk just looked at me blankly and said 'Oh'. Seriously, that was the only response. Not what can we do for you, the kitchen was still open for lunch they couldn't make some eggs??? Just bad"

"Room didn’t look anything like pictured. Air conditioner was broken laying on floor. Moved it and cockroaches ran from under. Bed wasn’t made. Room was supposed to be non smoking. Reeked of smoke. Front desk staff was no help. Had to leave and find other hotel accommodations. Absolutely disgusting. Lots of loitering all around hotel. Very uncomfortable and unsafe feel. "

"Clean and comfortable stay. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, which made for a great night’s rest. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy, making the whole experience smooth and convenient. Would definitely stay again. Kim"

"Never used the pool. But we enjoyed both the simplicity and the 50s kitchy-ness. Would have liked to have had more towels. Lobby staff was great and the room cleaning staff were both effective and efficient."
