"We enjoyed our stay, especially as the kind check in lady upgraded us unexpectedly. The steak in the restaurant was outstanding as was the staff through the hotel. Sadly due to the windows being single glazed and the walls of the adjoining walls being thin, you can hear everything. Inside the disrespectful guests who don’t respect the quiet time of other guest including room service cleaning first thing in the morning and letting doors slam shut….to the outside noise of traffic and the car horn addicts who feel they need to sound there horn because they can! Then you have those having a mid-Life crisis and what to let everyone know they have a bigger vehicle exhaust than others….. get a life I say"
"Clean rooms, nice location, and a really good ambient interior atmosphere. Rooms are on the smaller side, but they are well organized and efficiently designed.
Staff could definitely be more helpful and proactive, but overall the experience was smooth. Airport shuttle was also on time, which was appreciated."
"The front desk did not give enough wrist bands to us. When I informed them they were not going to give them to me until I said I wanted to talk to the manager. The key cards kept demagnatizing on all three rooms. We requested a cot but did not get one. It was hard to find a pool towel. I love the pools, the trees around them are gorgeous but the service at this place could be improved. Beds are very comfy and the place was clean."
"Overall pretty clean, the room didn’t have tissues which would’ve been nice to have. Shared bathroom was generally pretty clean, wasn’t ever in use so you weren’t waiting to use it which was nice. Overall I think it was overpriced given that we didn’t have access to our own private bathroom."
"Great location for exploring Gastown and waterfront. Great gym! Concierge staff and check in staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Love the radiant heat floor in the bathroom. Glad to see the historic building being made LEEDS certified!"
"Honestly, the hotel and price are worth the location no matter how you try to rationalize. Everything you expect from a Fairmont property and then some. So fortunate to be able to walk downstairs at 6am, get through U.S. Customs, and not have to worry about traffic or getting up even earlier. Thank you Fairmont. Please get more properties on the East Coast!!"
