Room booked not avalable (still not sure why , booked Nov 2023) , alternate room offered was next to front door, had no doors only curtains no ensuite. second property offered few minutes away appeared clean and tidy but no lock on door connecting room to communal kitchen and whole property reeked of dampness. Unable to stay in either property and had to arrange further accomodation at more than 3 times the price as such short notice . Shelley , member of staff who met us, helped as much as she could but to no avail Avoid this property at all costs

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Absolutely do not book here. My family and I were supposed to stay for four days, and the room we were initially given was not the one I booked. After a half hour at the property, the host informed us we were given the wrong room and sent us to ANOTHER place in the city, where they had no knowledge of our booking (I had booked in December for this August trip). While the host there was trying to straighten things out my sister and I called it quits once we saw they had CUSTOMER CREDIT CARD INFORMATION LAYING IN PLAIN SIGHT. I cannot stress this enough, avoid this place at all costs. We ended up having to book another accommodation last minute as a result of dealing with this property.

Horrific - Not as advertised, this is a house share and you will be put in the basement. The rooms have no escape, all smoke alarms have been removed, it’s dirty and an all round absolutely terrible experience.

Do not book here. It is a joke. We had our booking cancelled for one night the day we were supposed to stay there and when we actually stayed there, they implied we had the basement but it was actually a common area for the whole place. We booked in November for private room with private bathroom. They promised we would have our own room the next night and when we came back they said we had to sleep in the living room. I said no way so he showed me to a dorm room with bunk beds. I said fine if the room was only for us. They came back an hour later and said we could have the original private room (still no private bathroom). The last night they came to us in that room at 8:30 pm and asked if I could go look at another place to sleep. I said no. He begged me with prying hands, I said no, he still kept begging, I finally clos d the door and locked it. We didn't come out again until the next morning when we left. It was me with my 11 year-old son. There were other people who ended up getting the dorm room that night when they booked a private room with private bathroom. Ugh, it was horrendous.

Fun and enjoyable stay. 4 nice rooms in the house lower level. Lovely non-intrusive family on the main floor. Adam and his family are exceptional hosts. The property is close enough to downtown for convenience and far enough away for quiet and serenity. Dylan's Diner is a short walk away for a delicious diner style breakfast. Cathy provides marvelous service. Eggs were delicious, high quality, and cooked perfectly as requested.

Misleading and disappointing

This was misleading and disappointing. It’s just a home-share of a bedroom and all other spaces shared. Parking was impossible due to city construction. FAR too expensive.

We arrived and they had given away the room we booked. The bed we were given was in the main living room / kitchen area of the home with no way to lock the door or close blinds- and had to share a bathroom. This wasn't what we booked and it was too late for us to find another place. The owner was very kind, but sadly, it was an akward situation to be in.

It’s false advertising. You get a room in the basement of a family house. The street is all dug up and inaccessible. No amenities: no coffee, not even mugs or cups to make your own.
