I used to always stay at Sandman hotels but for some reason I chose to book my latest medical stay at Quality Inn.
To start, booking in at the actual Inn was unusually fast & I had asked to be on the main floor as I have a physical disability that limits my capability to use stairsl plus any travel 2 hours or more I have to travel with an 'escort". I used to go with my husband but we are divorced so now
A somewhat unimportant fact : I booked through Expedia...? Anyway, I also booked for the wrong day & had chosen 'book now to get this low price; but its not changeable or refundable'. I'd chosen that because I had previously canceled (for a very legitimate medical reason) the appointment & thought if I lock myself in I'll have NO excuse.
Anyway, I'd booked a room for the 4th to the 5th of Sept 2025 when I got my notification from the medical depot I was going to, the appt was for the 3rd of Sept!
I called the Inn & the manager was so lovely, adjusting the dates at no charge. As I had booked through Expedia I had a few extra steps, but he very nicely told me what I needed to do & answered all my questions.
I had to make a 2nd booking with the correct dates. Then call Expedia, explain my mistake & have them call Quality Inn to confirm he ws allowing the change at no charge. After confirming that, the Expedia customer service representative said the refund back on my card within 72hours....it was, at most, 24-Hours.
