"This was the culmination of a self-promise made 11 years ago. Then, we had afternoon tea on the patio, but can’t remember how we discovered Portloe. We said we should stay here if we ever visit Cornwall again. Fast forward to now; an unexpected opportunity to re-visit Cornwall. And it came to pass. Our stay did not disappoint- the quirky corridors to our room, the spectacular views from the windows, the bright and airy restaurant and the opportunity (again) to observe a lone fisherman working on...

"Fabulous stay, wonderful room, very helpful staff and enjoyed our first stay. The only down side was no air con and only a fan to assist with the high heat. Will definitely be staying again."

"Lovely tranquil lodge in well maintained peaceful grounds. Nice spa and pool facilities. Did not eat in the restaurant. Bar staff and spa staff were very friendly and helpful."

"This hotel is being refurbished, the grounds gardens bar restaurant are beautiful and some rooms may of been refurbished but ours was very tired, a very small twin..bed was comfortable and clean but a tight fit for us..this is ferl should of been mentioned at booking.overall though friendly staff. Good service and lovely bar area great views..will hope to get better room next time"

"We had a really lovely garden room with little private patio area which we loved. Overall the property is slightly dated but in all honestly we found it charming. The gardener keeps the grounds beautifully maintained and the food is absolutely superb. Will, the restaurant manager is amazing but all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. There are a few negative things but tbf the positives far outweigh them so I'm not going to mention them apart from if you're less than fit the walk into...
