"The room was pretty clean apart from the fact that it was damp probably due to the carpet. The hotel definitely is a bit outdated. The breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Overall a good experience. Enjoyed the pool and bath tub!"

"Heritage buildings with a lot of character and skylights everywhere. Comfy bed, clean environment, excellent location. Bath rooms, carpeting and furniture (vintage and in need of refinish) could use a bit of facelift, but overall the buildings are cute. It seems that every room is unique. The location is excellent - two blocks from Pier 21 and close to Dalhousie. Can be noisy if you open the windows (but who doesn't love operable windows?). Free parking in the back of the hotel was a plus."

"The rooms were good and spacious - a little dated. No slippers or robes provided. towels are not fluffy. We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the street and the street lights are super bright. "We checked in very late, close to midnight due to our flight, and received a less than warm reception. But after that, everything was great. Breakfast was good and had enough variety.
