"Unfortunately we had two issues at this hotel. Firstly we had room 11 which had a strong smell similar to cat wee. We were then given room 18, which seemed fine until we opened the door to the en-suite and the same smell was strong in there. This smell was only in the rooms not any public areas. Secondly there was music blasting loudly from venue adjacent to the hotel along with noise from people using that venues outside area. This continued until the music stopped at 2am, and the venue...

"The room needs updating. We were put in the gloomy below road basement ( maybe because we had a lower price through expedia?) The receptionist on arrival was not welcoming & curt. Breakfast was good as was the waiting service there. "

"Fridge wasn't actually cold, jammed outer window that wouldn't close so there was consistent traffic noise from being next to major road. The fan/heater unit system is ancient, full of lint / dust and very ineffective -- particularly the heater setting (not very warm and would turn off after a couple of minutes). General cleanliness not great -- hairs etc in the bathroom, dirty carpet. There was also the most annoying buzz coming from various electronics in the room and the plug system to turn...

"Room was spotlessly clean, staff are lovely and location is ideal. If you are sensitive to noise perhaps ask for a room on one of the higher floors, but would stay here again without hesitation."
