"The room was massive and clearly newly decorated. It was let down on the first night by the previous occupants filthy towels still being in the room. The other major issue with the room is the noise. The room is at the front of the hotel and the noise from the revellers outside and the sound system just below the room meant no sleep. There should be a new word for places that charge you to stay but you can’t actually get any sleep. On the plus side the staff were friendly and the cocktails...

"What a lovely , calm , mellow gem of a place . A very relaxing and wonderful stay . We loved the actual building and quiet garden . Rooms were spacious / very comfortable and clean. Staff were lovely . Excellent breakfast - and dinner too . We will definitely return ."

"Everything else was excellent, but we were initially given a room where the air conditioning wasn't working during the heatwave. They obviously knew that when I reported the issue. I was told the hotel was fully booked and that we couldn't change rooms. Instead, they sent two fans to our room. As the windows couldn't be opened, the room was unbearably hot, and there was no way we could stay there. I went back downstairs and explained that if they couldn't move us to another room, we would...

"Great hotel, location and car parking Simple and swift check in Superb room and amenities However arrived for breakfast one hour before closing and the lack of food was unacceptable……. what was there was probably cooked and left by everyone…… Eventually the bread was topped up and despite asking for fresh bacon and eggs they weren’t forthcoming and no explanation. Never expected this hence my 2 star marking"
