"This large home has several well appointed hotel-style rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated. The homey sitting area on the ground floor has comfortable seating conducive to conversing with other guests. Breakfast is diverse and excellent. The hotel location has lovely views of the town and vine covered hillsides."

"Nice stay in a lovely hotel with parking, but do not pay for the breakfast. The breakfast was supposed to be a buffet, but due to low occupancy it was changed to a la carte. We were given a paper to fill out and return to the front desk with our breakfast choices. The breakfast was terrible! The toast were hard and cold, the bacon was not even warm and the "sausage" were mini weiners out of a can. Save the money and go to a local coffee shop for breakfast if you have the choice."

"Check in was great, with a welcome glass of Port. Breakfast was perfect every morning with plenty of options and very scenic views. Room was little dated and the area itself is secluded. If you’re looking for that, than this is the spot. The highlight of the trip in Douro was the wine tour about an hour away. Beautiful area beautiful resort. "
