"Impressed with the exceptional service and attitude of staff. Amenities are just what you need after a long days travel and the rooms are well equipped. The pool is lovely and easy parking. Room 702 bathroom door lock needs a fix. Room 703 could do with some safety mats/antiskid mats as it is a disabled friendly room but caused one of our family a slip despite laying the bath mat, as the water from the bathroom comes through the shower curtains and into the rest of the bathroom area. "Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. "

"This is a lovely hotel in a great location. Right near the coastal walkway and walking distance to the park. Our suite was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. If you need to park a vehicle it's a good idea to reserve a spot ahead of time. We didn't, but luckily there were two spots left. Lastly, Janine at reception is an absolute gem!"

"We traveled from Auckland for a tournament in Hawera. The price we paid was surprisingly cheap! The amenities were great , the rooms were clean and tidy and had a door we could open to combine our rooms together which was a bonus . We would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends and family."

"The motel was in a great location, right across the road from two supermarkets down the road from some fast food restaurants. The unit we had was right next to a busy road so this is probably not the best place if you are a light sleeper as I could hear the cars going past and all the trucks backing and unloading at the supermarkets. The room was clean and had everything needed for eating."
