Perfect place to stay and relax

We stayed for two nights and everything was perfect. The room was clean, and the wood decor was perfect. Dinner and breakfast for both days were different, it was both very nice food!!

Really lovely ryokan and onsen with beautiful ocean views. The futons were very comfortable, as well. It's a little outside of Wakayama city (about 30 minutes/„3500 by taxi), but there is a nearby bus and they have a parking area if you are driving. The staff speaks a little English, but don't expect the same level of English that you might get at a larger, urban hotel. Overall, it was very relaxing and I would definitely recommend it.

Isolated location with a great view.

Fantastic immersion in Japanese culture with a gorgeous view of the Sea of Japan and the fishing village. Top rate Onsen. Used the shuttle but we were not provided with the pick up location which was very difficult to find. Make sure you book it as it only leaves once a day. The room had no hot water, even though we were informed to run the tap. The heater was in need of cleaning. Very isolated location with no access to other food options. Be prepared for this.

This place was so great I wished I could have stayed longer. The only warning I have is that it is on a mountainside so you will need to bring food with you or take buses/taxis for your lunch and dinner.

Wonderful baths, beautiful views, delicious Japanese food, exceptionally warm and helpful staff. Truly a wonderful get away. The chef graciously accommodated our vegetarian diet. Staff made sure all our needs were met and helped facilitate transportation for a day trip to Nachi Falls. Amenities were thoughtful. Grounds were under some renovation during our visit, but it was peaceful and very enjoyable. Wakayama station was a convenient hub for coming and going.
