Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ann Arbor

"We were very disappointed in the breakfast. It was very basic but the hotel description was way more descriptive then what was actually provided. We will not stay again because we needed breakfast be to be included and there wasn't much to offer."

Hyatt Place Detroit Royal Oak

Royal Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful experience during our stay. From the concierge to wait staff and housekeeping, everyone was friendly and very attentive. Our room was pristine and refreshed/restocked daily. We stayed in a large balcony king overlooking the river. So relaxing having a cup of coffee in the morning and glass of wine at night listening to the river! We also attending a bridal shower in the conservatory and the set-up was beautiful. The staff helping with the event were great as well. "

Embassy Suites by Hilton Detroit Livonia Novi

"Overcrowded and lack of amenities"

The Townsend Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Nice rooms and the hotel staff is excellent. The restaurant staff seems inadequate from a size standpoint, service should be better and it has been in previous years. Food is delicious, always. The bar has been under renovation for much too long and the old space was fantastic. Hopefully the renovation will be worthwhile if it ever gets completed.
The hotel location is fantastic."

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Detroit Farmington Hills

"The check in and check out left a bit to be desired. Lots of confusion on my billing. I am waiting to make sure my account isnt overcharged. "

Saint John's Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed at Saint John's Resort this past Friday and Saturday with my wife and had an awesome experience.
From the moment we walked in, the place stood out — extremely clean, well kept, and the architecture is just beautiful. It has that high-end feel without being over the top, and everything from the grounds to the interior spaces is done right.
We had dinner at 5 Steakhouse Saturday night and it did not disappoint. Great food, great atmosphere, and definitely one of the highlights of the trip.
Overall, it was a perfect little getaway — relaxing, upscale, and easy to enjoy. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away for a couple days without going too far."

Wingate by Wyndham Brighton

"Great little family getaway spot. Nothing fancy, but it was perfect for our family. They keep the pool at 84, hot tub jets aren’t always working but temp was great. Seems like a spot for family and teams to stay, or the odd teen birthday. Parents were supervising, and the kids were very respectful; teens even letting my 4.5 yr old join in on their pool games. Hours of the pool were great 10a-10p. The breakfast… was amazing. They threw down with it, and were always on a fresh pot of coffee. It was a popular place, but plenty to eat, variety, and fresh. I did not go hungry! They keep the property well kept, and smelt great. Rooms were well kept for not being entirely new; the jetted tub in our room had been retiled recently and was enjoyable for our little one to use when in room. Overall spacious and well setup room. There are rooms that don’t face the pool area, if that would be bothersome prop request other area. Also target and other shopping in the parking lot, makes it easy to access groceries or whatever you may need. Area seemed to have lots, but less of a downtown vibe as that is usually where I stay. Minutes from gated communities and nature."
