"It was dirty, the shower was gross and had old hair in it, the carpet had crumbs everywhere, the sink had dirt in it, there were people knocking on the glass door in the morning, and the key cards were not working well, glitching and gave us trouble getting back into our room. it was just not a pleasant stay. Definitely need to change these things and have better security because having people roaming around knocking on the doors is quite scary. "

"Room was clean, as was the rest of the building. Reason for only four stars was that the mattress was springy / worn on the side closest to the TV, so I slept comfortably on the opposite side. Also, the building is dated. Upgrades / improvements were noticeable, but the elevators are still old."

"The property is beautiful, however the guest room that we stayed in was quite dated. We stayed in the stables. To get to the main building where the dining area and bar are we had to walk around the property. We don’t take issue with the walk, what we did not appreciate is that a lot walkway to the main building is a fine fine crushed stone, which might as well have been mud. It was suggested that the dining was a bit more formal, suggesting men where jackets, in order to make it over to the building we had to put on our casual shoes as not to ruin my heels and my husbands dress shoes. What we didn’t understand is that some of the walkways are brick, what would they not make all of them brick if guests have to dress up? If you book a stable room and the weather is wet, prepare to get dirty!"

"I recently stayed four nights at your hotel for a business trip and was very disappointed with my experience. I chose this property because the Marriott Bonvoy website advertised a pool and gym, with no mention that the hotel was under construction or that these amenities were unavailable. On arrival, I was told both were closed and construction would stop at 17:00, yet work continued until 18:07. My room was also in poor condition: a collapsing shower‑door hinge, dirty shampoo bottle, warped wallpaper, loose shower head, streaks on mirrors and doors, stained towels, and no tray for wet boots, causing water to pool on the uneven floor. Despite requesting maintenance and cleaning, nothing was done, and staff repeatedly failed to follow through on promises. A complimentary breakfast does not reflect the level of inconvenience and service issues I experienced."
