The Tangerine - A Burbank Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Standard Room King Bed - 10/10. Great size. Clean. Nice decor. Everything you want/need for a few nights away. Bathroom - 10/10. Bit cramped, but nice shower, toiletries and towels etc. Bed - 10/10. Lovely bed and pillows. Nice and quiet too, had some great sleeps. WiFi - 10/10. No issues. Pool Area - N/A. Nice, but didn’t use. Breakfast - 10/10. Very nice fresh pastries each morning and a cracking coffee machine that was available 24/7. Staff - 10/10. The receptionist staff were all fantastic. Friendly, professional and helpful. Hotel - 10/10. Great hotel for a great price in a great location. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. $12 Uber to Universal City Metro and then you can get anywhere for $1.75… Would highly recommend."

"We checked in to find out that the toilet backs up in to the bathtub. The manager said, "it happens all the time". House keeping came up to clean the tub, and she confirmed that it's an ongoing problem. We then decided that this is a huge health hazard. We told the front desk that we would be checking out and wanted a refund. We had to find other accommodations. Disgusting and a serious health issue for the guests. Will not reserve this hotel ever again."

"Really nice hotel to stay in and so close to Universal Studios ( very convenient location). The room was very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a coffee, cappuccino and a hot chocolate machine located in the lobby area. Also a Bevi water machine with electrolytes, zinc, vitamins and choice of sparkling water. Definitely a game changer not having to look for Starbucks in the morning. The parking is currently $25 a night. Several reasons I am giving a 4 Star this time and not 5. The restaurant was under renovation during my stay and I was not informed in advanced. When I arrived that evening the carpets and furniture were being cleaned. Everything was still wet and getting dry and I could only sit on the bed until the next day .Fans were running all around the property until late. Once again I was not informed of that inconvenience, but knowing that it's clean made me feel good and safe. In the next morning when I walked out, the windows on the outside were getting cleaned as well. The coffee machine was out of order as well, but by that evening it was fixed. I asked for a wake up call and instead of them calling the room, they called my phone. I got that missed call later, since it was blocked as a unknown caller .The cleaning staff (girls) did an excellent job every day in my room. It was spotless. Big shout out for Scott at the front desk who is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and polite. I would definitely return. Just need heads up"

"This is one of the worst hilton locations ever, the staff is rude, disrespectful and they allow theft and do nothing about it. The front desk clerk Christina needs to learn how to do her job correctly asked for housekeeping spoke to Christina three times , yet no housekeeping after being promised, I was given towels sheets and trash bags to change myself if that's the case I would of stood at motel 6, to be expected to do housekeeping job is a complete joke, not one member of tjlhe staff tried to assist all they did was make excuses, upon check was charged for parking even though if was supposed to be comped, then I see room charges that dont even belong to anyone in my party this is addressed at check out with Christina who them makes an excuse that I have to wait 30 minutes because the lazy manager Madison was on lunch not my problem, Madison comes in running from the parking lot witj an attitude talking about i have to wait for her to pull the receipts and it could take three hours and I would get a callback back, im still waiting for a callback three weeks later, called multiple times asking for the manager Mike Hernandez and the assistant manager left multiple messages yet no one has returned a call. Do not stay hear unless you want them to steal from you and refuse to refund you, they make nothing but excuses the worst hotel ever"
