"My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced. Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue. The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk. The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head. The one loft window in the room is low down and...

"Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. "Schone kamer, schone badkamer en wc. Minpunt vonden wij alleen dat het gedeelde badkamer en wc waren, vond dat persoonlijk niet duidelijk aangegeven staan dat zou nog een verbeter puntje zijn. Verder is de b&b erg mooi karakteristiek. Wel zou ik persoonlijk een renovatie aanraden. De wc en buitenkant van de b&b mogen wat liefde hebben. "The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was spacious but not very clean. There were a few items that were missed. For example a cobweb that was left in the doorway. Some socks and food left behind by previous guests. However, the hotel is located a short walk from a key tram stop and was near several food places. I would say overall we had a good stay and it worked well for our family."
