Bedroom really needs updating and TLC. Carpet was marked and mattress saggy and uncomfortable. Bath panel needs repainting. Very weird door in bedroom that when opened had a duvet hanging between our door and the one immediately behind. Beautiful old building but difficult to shut windows and paint peeling. On a positive, the food in the restaurant was good and staff were all friendly. Lovely little village with some nice one off shops/cafes. I think the price is high for a basic pub room of that condition. Also was advised breakfast was an additional £17.50 pp which we declined. Having spent 2 weeks travelling and staying in 8 different places we thought this was very expensive compared to the other places we stayed.

It was outstanding accommodations, comfortable bed great tub and shower. Met the owner and spent some time in the attached pub. Staff was amazing, had breakfast the next morning and that was outstanding as well. Definitely a recommendation to stay here.

The staff were great (10/10) and so was dinner (10/10), but my room was more or less over the bar from which a "bum-thwaka bum-thwaka" issued endlessly until I complained at 11.45 pm. The bed had both head board and foot board and was not made for a 6 foot three inch person. Its mattress was probably in use at the time of King George I! If I had been assigned another bedroom (with a more contemporary mattress), I would have rated my stay five stars.

Pleasant stay

Enjoyed our stay here. Clean room and bathroom. Stairs a little difficult due to age of the building and we found the shower a little formidable! Enjoyed the food and friendly staff.

A charming Inn with a good restaurant.

Det är England och ett enklare hotell så förvänta dig inte hotell standard. Men rent och charmerand, väldigt bra servicenivå. Restaurangen är definitivt en av de bättre i området.
