"The room was as expected, clean. Good restaurant option for continental or hot breakfast. We were quite disappointed that there was construction happening immediately outside our window on the adjacent property - maybe 10 ft from our window. There was load banging and power tool noises from 7am - 7pm. While I understand that is not necessarily within the hotel's control, the staff did not even mention it to us upon check in, and there was no one manning the check out area when we went to check out (it was self-check out on a screen). As a courtesy, that certainly should've been mentioned to us and the room discounted, or the staff should've reached out ahead of time as we would've moved locations."
"The staff were all excellent, helpful, kind and friendly. I would compare this hotel room with a travel lodge but with a restaurant and breakfast attached to it. I had a nicer room for less money in the same week. I guess prices have escalated.
Well done staff! You made it worth while."
"Trevor and his wife and staff keep the place immaculately. The beds are comfortable and they make you feel at home. The breakfasts are so delicious and freshly made. They are also so helpful at suggesting things to do. Such a wonderful time!"
"Our Premium Room had quite a number of stains on the carpet, something splashed on the walls that should have been cleaned, and worn furniture. Wouldn’t stay again for the price we paid."
"The hotel is well located in the town, room was a twin and small. We where on motor bikes barely enough for us and gear. No luggage room, which didn't help breakfast ok. No good if you have mobility issues. Functional, not the best hotel of the trip but the most expensive 😫. Staff where very friendly and pleasant"
"This is very much a hostel for the price of a hotel. The front door was unlocked (and remained so the entire stay) upon arrival and there was no front desk or check in area. You are essentially walking into someone’s (messy) home. We eventually knocked on the door labeled private and a confused woman said to go to the open room with the key in the door- did not confirm our name, reservation number, or anything. I asked about parking, as the street parking available mentioned being permit required, and was handed the woman’s personal cell phone to speak with “the owner”. “The owner” assured me it was not a big deal but could provide us the permit in person in “20 minutes to an hour”. Not wanting to waste our trip awaiting this unnamed person, we asked them to leave the permit under our door and message us through the Expedia app when this was done.
The shower in room was an ADVENTURE. You had to pull a string to start the water, slide the glass shower door that opened inwards, and navigate a box in shower with 2 knobs. The water was either ice cold or molten hot, and we just had to speed run our shower and alternate between the two temperatures.
I will say the breakfast provided was yummy- lots of snack items, fruit, granola, yogurt. Unfortunately there was no space to eat in the room other than the bed (there was also no common kitchen/dining area we could have gone to alternatively).
Overall we did not feel entirely safe staying here and would not recommend. "
"First assigned room was undergoing maintenance. Door was open and bed was covered with construction debris. Although I had paid for a deluxe loch view room, the second room had a window so cloudy we could barely see out of it. Room was tiny. Not the159 square feet advertised. Ceiling panel was hanging down and water stains on the ceiling. Don’t accept room 3 if you decide to stay here. At that point we were just too travel weary and accepted what we were given. I saw other, much nicer rooms the next day. Staff was fine, but room experience was quite poor. "
