"Lovely building, well appointed. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Staff were impeccable and food was top notch. I rarely say this, but would stay again. My only gripe were the squeaky floors but given the age of the place was just character."

The write-up by Hotels.com , and the price of the rooms suggested/promissed something better—— for us , it was a basic hotel, with basic facilities—- pub-bar type “restaurant”, -crowded and noisy and cramped—dood was pub-grub really — nothing special —- room basic with low budget furnishings , bathroom the same— almost travelLodge or premier inn quality—- a place to speel - but not worth what they charge "
