"V. Disappointing. I checked in during the afternoon. But needed to leave as had other plans that day. On returning to to hotel at around 21:00 in the evening and entering the room for the first time to see properly, my family and I were immediately swarmed by insects in the corridor that were on the walls and room door, so after entering the room at haste to avoid any critters to follow, we were in the room which was very dated and in need of an overhaul. "The rooms were large and clean. Only body wash and shampoo in the bathroom. No hair conditioner. No real cupboard, just a few hangers in a sort of cupboard. There was an iron and an ironing board. Breakfast was okay for us, we don't eat all the food there was served (buffet breakfast). They had snacks so we had a pizza. The receptionists were excellent, so helpful. Also the waiters in the dining room were very helpful. It's a good place for one night before a flight or a cruise."

"Good breakfast. I did speak with property about solo travellers being stuck at the back of the dining room. Why cant we have as good a table as anyone else? I am an experienced traveller and dont like being treated any differently to anyone else! Whole hotel and the grounds are georgeous though and I enjoyed my time there. My single room was nicely spacious."

"This was a lovely place that I would go to again and again. The hotel itself was stunning, the staff were very helpful and thoughtful, and the food was fantastic. The only concern is the stairs are uneven, so just be careful if you’re unsteady. Other than that, delightful experience."

A little distance from the city center, but they run a most friendly and flexible shuttle into town that works great, very good idea and a very commendable effort. Breakfast is good. We had a large room (2 adults 2 kids) very spacious. Some aspects of maintenance could be improved, but it is always a challenge with these country homes, they have the charm, but not everything is impecable. A little on the expensive side, but reasonable. Great parking."

"A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs."
