"I was working in the area and needed somewhere with a gym and pool. Found this gem and I wasn't disappointed. The gym was great for a hotel and the pool area was amazing. Everything here that was needed, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and food were superb and again the staff were great. Couldn't fault this place for a first visit. "I expected to be in the annex, but the room was very good and had a balcony. Food was excellent, generous portions. To be honest, I thought the wine was a bit pricey. Very nice garden, and plenty of parking. The hotel is a training hotel, so the staff are knowledgeable. "

The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure. "
