"The room didnt smell nice and the beds werent comfortable. The hotel is in need of some maintaining The room didnt look the same as the photos on the Internet The room had lots of noise from outside and on the second night there were people shouting and arguing on the floor above which then carried on outside."

"The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Room cleaning is available upon request otherwise they will change bedding after 3 nights."

"Rugby match was being played and the car park was full even though there were security guards on checking in your staying, in the morning the car park was empty. The bar and restaurant was full so paying guests could not get food"

"Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume. "Large and spacious room very modern if a little basic. Minimalistic wardrobe space and tiny table/ moveable desk. More than adequate for an overnight stay. Included breakfast is simple and basic but very nice . "

"Nice enough staff but that is about it. Hotel was run down, dirty, our room wasn’t clean, there was glass on the bathroom floor, glass by the double doors by the elevator. Mentioned to the staff but glass from the ground floor wasn’t picked up for over 24h. Had a puppy in the room with us but the floor wasn’t safe as there was nails poking up and carpet missing "

"Lots of onsite parking and hotel adjacent to the pub. Very pleasant staff all round and good selection of beers. Food was good quality and very hot. Breakfast was great and a wide selection to choose from. Our room was ground floor as requested and was nice and warm. Very large bed and whole room and bathroom was excellent. Great value for money and will definitely be back on our next trip to Wigan."
