"This hotel has a vintage, boutique feel. The bar is also where you check in and is open 7am-11pm. Make sure to ask for the WiFi password when you check in. There is only street parking available. The rooms are small but cozy. The staff is very friendly. The location is within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants, as well as the St Charles trolley."

"Very clean and cute. My only complaint is there is no microwave in the room but they will warm it down stairs. And my other complaint is there is no daily room service. Other than that it was a great stay. The location is a little questionable but it ended up being really quiet"

"The property was absolutely beautiful. The hotel was unique, the room was clean, it had a great shower. I gave the rating I did for two reasons. 1. We had trouble with the tv connecting to the hotels WiFi and after two hotel employees tried to troubleshoot it, I had to end up using my hotspot. 2. When I booked, I specifically booked a room with a balcony. We visit NOLA every 2-3 months and like to stay in a room that we can let fresh air into. I paid more money to get that room specifically....

"I guess I could have stayed at the Virgin Hotel Nee Orleans. Or at other snazzy places. But staying at the Pontchartrain and its storied past, I felt I was connecting with New Orleans and its history in a deeper way. I especially liked the Silver Whistle cafe, the Bayou Bar and its excellent jazz offerings, the views from the Tin Roof (named after Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” of course), and the Jack Rose restaurant. I highly recommend!"
