Road a stone’s throw in front of unit but not very busy and bedroom was at the rear. Old fashioned interior and furnishings. Plenty of hot water, clean bedding and towels. No television but good WiFi. Overall we felt pricing was a bit on the high side. Parking beside unit. "

"Awesome place if you’re out these ways. Philippa and Rob are amazing hosts. We got a garden view room with a lovely view. Convenient location. The hosts let us park at theirs while we were on the overnight cruise in Doubtful Sound. Breakfast was included and it was a clocked breakfast. Will definitely stay again"

"This property either needs to be closed or renovated desperately. The electric blankets are like from the 80s one was broken and the other was hanging on to its dear life. I didn't use it and suffered the bitter cold and the dirty blanket. The toilet literally came off the floor when I sat slightly to one side. We were on our way to Milford Sound from Queenstown and all rooms in Te Anau were completely booked. When we arrived at the hotel office and asked if I could use the toilet, the staff...

"Beautiful property! Great location 5 minute walk to town centre, restaurants and shopping. Laura & Derek were very welcoming and serve an EXCELLENT cooked breakfast! "Don’t be put off by the backpacker property, the Lakeview rooms are terrific, very big with a great view and come with a mini fridge and kettle. The amenities are limited, just hand and body wash, and towels are limited, and no servicing, but for the price, the location is excellent, and the Lakeview rooms are totally separate from the backpacker dorms. "

"Generally ok place to stay. Has everything you need like all other hotels. Unfortunately the 1 bed apartment are not sound proof. So we had a poor nights sleep with hearing the people above us walking around and playing music until midnight and then car doors closing at 7am. The rooms don’t feel very private either with big glass doors in the bedroom and lounge so you have people walking past and looking in. Also worth noting, no air con "
