Great location. Need bigger sink in bathroom. Could not get hot water in shower Clean carpets before new guests arrive. Big stains on carpet. Would not have paid what I did for the experience

I booked the Lansbury at short notice due to a big let down with a booking elsewhere. The Lansbury is very good indeed. There are no staff until you leave(cleaners) It is very easy to get hold of the owners though. It was a fairly quiet place too. Very central to all amenities. I would definitely stay again

It is in a great location for shopping, eating and town centre. Was clean and well presented with all the facilities needed for a stay.

Room was clean and comfy bed. Good location but the information about parking is misleading. You get a parking disc but these only cover you for up to 3 hours in the zones. We parked nearby for 24 hours which was £13.

The room itself was spacious but my bottom bedsheet was stained and the bathmat was badly strained also nowhere to hang the towels and no shelf in the bathroom apart from a cupboard which we couldn't use as badly stained underneath the very small sink plus 2 light bulbs not working!!

Great Summer Accomodation

it was a great experience in Lansbury-Whitby. The price is resonable for its location is walking distance to the beach and town centre.

The only problem was the shower hose had a rip and had gaffer tape on top but still leaked water everywhere and we had to take shower head off and use the ripped hose to have a clean while holding it

No where to hang clothes in the bathroom, so clothes got wet when putting them on the toilet seat,shower had black mould in sealant and no shelf in the shower itself. Tv remote was dirty. Bed matteress nearest the door was very noisy sounds like the springs are gone. Parking is a nightmare but free, most coast places are hard to park near the hotel. Good location for Pavillion and Harbour and cafes.

Excellent stay

We booked last minute for bank holiday stay. Room no 7 had the most comfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept in ! The room had everything we needed & the added sleep was a welcome bonus.

Was in a good area There were vacancies but we were put on the very top floor in a loft type conversion Which we wernt keen on. The door to the room was a fire door which was badly fitted to a none fire door frame which is not correct. There was a light on the landing which through the nite kept coming on and lit up the whole bedroom because of the gaps around the illegal fire door. We trid to cover door with a blanket to cover the light but it didnt realy work. Next time we stay in whitby will book hotel where there is a reception so to speak to someone face to face rather than txt messages.needs that personnel touch.

Aggressive and abusive staff that should not be in any people facing role, who wanted nothing to do with guests when problems arise ie amenities did not match descriptions. I didn’t feel safe to continue staying and had to book elsewhere at the last minute instead of risking my physical and emotional well being. Will be reporting to trading standards and FOS. Avoid at all costs if you don’t want your Whitby experience ruined or tainted by being on the receiving end of a nasty attitude especially as a paying guest.

Lovely spacious room. Very clean. Slight mix up with keys on arrival, but was sorted after phone call. Only minor grumble, advertised as having toiletries but there wasnt any.
