"Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. "Parking was easy and free during our stay. Too few staff with too much to do. We were not offered desert after our main meal and gave up waiting for anyone to check if we would like a desert! Overall the property needs a refresh as if is tired."

"We had a 1 hr wait for our room to be ready .spacious and clean but tatty and needing redecorating .wallpaper hanging off the walls shabby furniture. Towels and bedding good. below average standard. Bank Holiday weekend booked fora spa weekend and the salon was shut the entire time of our stay. Disappointing. "Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. The only problem I had was that drawing the curtains in my room was very challenging as the rings on the curtain pole didn’t glide smoothly and you had to wrench the curtain closed and open. Food was excellent and the room was quiet overlooking a peaceful garden. A good 4 out of 5."
