Our second time visiting this hotel and another amazing experience! All the amenities are great, especially if you’re coming with kids! My husband also golfed twice, so he’s happy as well!
Loved this resort. Hope they renovate the interior pool / jacuzzi soon but the outdoor pool area is so great! Really makes the place in the summer. Front porch and rocking chairs are amazing too!
The setting is gorgeous with terrific mountain views. The exterior, grounds and gardens are pristine. The room was clean and comfortable. Food in the dining room was ok but not great. Carpeting in hallways is old and in need of updating. We enjoyed our stay but for the price we expected a little more.
Loved the pool, the farm, and the sports/activities center. We played tennis and visited the alpacas every morning. My kids were obsessed with the outdoor pool area, and having dinner on the deck at sunset was amazing. Great stay overall, one hiccup was how slow the dinner service was. They were definitely understaffed and it took forever to order and receive dinner/drinks/check. The servers were very friendly and apologetic, but it’s hard waiting an hour for dinner with little kids! We did go out for dinner 2 night because of this.
We liked the renovated lobby area & the updates around the tavern area. Rooms are nicely maintained. I recommend checking ALL sink drains. Mine was clogged but cleared it. Food was very good overall. Really loved the ambience of the wine cellar. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard. We' in the food hospitality & I wasn't too impressed on the quality of the buffet. You should also put signage about NOT taking food out of the chafers with your hands. I caught some pig (I'm being polite here) actually take bacon & sausage out with his hands instead of using the tongs that were there.
We have stayed here many times and always have great meals and experiences. Beautiful hotel with lovely grounds in a wonderful area of NH.

Disliked: Staff & service
Didn’t get us checked in till close to 6 pm. Disappointing at such a high cost to stay. Rooms are outdated and in need of some maintence. Outdoor pool and farm were nice. Staff were not on the same page when it came to accommodations. Place could be great!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Family Getaway Near Santa’s Village!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in New Hampshire! The resort is beautiful, with breathtaking White Mountain views, gorgeous grounds, and that classic New England charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another time.
The location was perfect for our family trip to Santa’s Village — close enough to make the drive easy, while still feeling like a peaceful mountain getaway. After a fun day at Santa’s Village, it was wonderful to come back to the resort and relax.
There was so much to enjoy right on the property, including the pools, beautiful outdoor spaces, activities, and the farm. The kids especially loved having so much to explore, and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained even when we weren’t out sightseeing.
The resort has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and incredible mountain scenery. Sitting outside and taking in the views was one of our favorite parts of the stay.
If you’re planning a family trip to Santa’s Village or exploring the White Mountains, I would highly recommend Mountain View Grand. Five stars all around! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We would definitely come back!
This is an absolutely GRAND resort, complete with it's very own golf course, farm, axe throwing area, spa, pools and a beautiful front porch complete with rockers from which you can enjoy the beautiful breezes and a view to the golf course along with your cocktails and meals.
Service is excellent in all areas, and demonstrates old world charm. Food in the dining room and in the bar was delicious, whether something as simple as a pizza, or as elegant as a delicate scallop and pasta dish. Desserts were delicious and not to be missed.
This resort is quite large, and there are a lot of long hallways to reach the various sections. If you have mobility challenges, I would suggest requesting a room close to the elevator. Also, drop your luggage in front of the hotel before you park as it is a bit of a hike and some stairs to enter the lobby if you come in from the main parking lot.
This hotel was a highlight of our journey through MA, VT and NH. I would highly recommend it if you want a resort filled with old world charm and elegance.
As two adults traveling without children or grandchildren, we were very disappointed in the lack of peacefulness and serenity we were hoping for. The lobby was always very noisy with small children, and we were woken up in the morning before 6:30am by kids jumping and running in the room above us. We wanted to have dinner in the resort dining room but could barely hear each other talking because of the loud families. Additionally, our bathroom had one overhead light in the middle of the bathroom ceiling which made some personal hygiene tasks quite difficult — with no lights near the mirror. There were windows in the bathroom that might have provided light, but our room was on the first floor with public areas right outside, so we kept the shades closed. The front desk person who checked us in was delightful, as well as Ashley and Maddie, two of the wait staff. Our room was clean, the bathroom, too.
I loved ny stayed!!! Everyone was so professional and friendly

It was family friendly with a farm for children to visit. We enjoyed the spa very much however our room was not the best. The refrigerator didn’t work, I reported it and another one was moved in. Unfortunately it didn’t work either and they left the dolly in our room. The phone didn’t work to call the front desk. I wouldn’t stay there again.

This was a beautiful site, very kid friendly which is good if that is what you are looking for.
That being said they should maybe consider locating non child groups to a different side. It was not fully booked by any means and this should be considered.
Waking up on vacation to children being children is one thing if they’re yours or staying at a place like Disney. Let’s just say I did not need an alarm clock for wake up.
The bathroom is wicked slippery be careful!
Food was oaky but not worth the money.
Extra charges at check out… we were not the only one who was surprised.
We had a lovely stay! The property is gorgeous, and the views are absolutely stunning. While our overall experience was positive and we would happily return, we did notice a few areas for improvement. First, the breakfast felt overpriced for the options provided, and we noticed some trash left in common areas that wasn't cleared for a couple of hours, which made us wonder if the team was short-staffed. Additionally, since resort guests often look for diverse culinary experiences, we'd love to see the breakfast and dinner menus expanded in the future.
I stay here about once or twice a year, and I have noticed post Covid a dramatic betterment of the property and staff. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, the staff, friendly and attentive, and the amenities well worth the price they are charging. Can’t wait to return!
The resort is very clean and has a very cozy feeling to it. The rooms and the views are beautiful. My only complaint is the staff. They are very nice however, the attention to detail in the service could be improved.
I like the setting and the staff is always great.
I don't like how families with unruly children aren't reined in. I don't like adults leaving their garbage on coffee tables/chairs after they're done andnot being called on it. I don't like the dogs given free run of the lobby on a leash. Should have secluded areas for pets. Service dogs obviously excluded.
