"Room was clean and tidy. Staff were welcoming and helpful. It would have been better if there was shampoo in the bathroom and a small fridge to store water. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay!"

"Hotel is in a Great location, right opposite the train station and ideally placed for all the shops and bars. Staff were very helpful. Would recommend staying here."

"All staff very helpful and friendly. Overall clean and tidy. Room spacious but a couple of issues. Only one plug socket next to the bed and only three in total. The other two were not in convenient locations. No shaver socket which was a major surprise! The hotel does have very limited parking which I guess you have to book. The Baltic car park next door is very expensive and by the hour. Gateshead Quays multi-storey (very new and clean) is a minute walk uphill from the hotel."

"The staff were super helpful- above and beyond. They even remembered why we were in town the next day. They work hard! The same ladies who handle the front desk handled breakfast. The ocean view was great. We arrived at low tide and were so surprised to wake up after a nap and find how much higher the water was. We're planning return trips. Thanks for making our one night in Whitley Bay a great night!"

"Hotel as you would expect it is a holiday Inn however, the decor in the bedroom needs updating along with the bathroom. Back however, it was extremely comfy and large."
