The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room. "The view and setting really made the trip and the staff were so lovely, kind and helpful! Watching the sunset each evening outside on the rocks was glorious. The complementary breakfast was really great, fresh baked croissants and a list of hot options. The rooms were clean and basic but just want was needed really. "A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. "This is a beautiful property set in the Devon countryside, on the edge of Dartmoor. It has beautiful views over the valley and you can sit out in the garden while you admire them. The house is really old and well maintained, full of traditional wooden beams. The breakfast is really nice as well and you can pre-order hot food. I would recommend it to anyone."

"We had the attic room and it's very spacious. The bedroom has a huge bed that is not too soft and we slept like the dead. Dual aspect with sky lights. Fan and extra soft cuddly blankets if needed. Hairdryer, ironing board, iron and microwave. However, the fridge was the reason I booked. A seating area where you can chill without a TV on and a small book shelf with a wide variety of books.
