"Dated property, is not the quietest place to stay. It's okay to crash in for a night or 2."

"The service apartment is very spacious. Check-in staff is very friendly and helpful making the stay pleasant. Will definitely stay again at this property"

"Stayed at the Rydges for 3 nights. I have very mixed feelings about my experience. Paying almost $400 NZD a night, I did expect more. Starting with the positives, the location is amazing. Victoria Cross metro is only up the road, taking less than 10 minutes to get to the city. The area is also very quiet. The lobby and rooms were modern and well designed, however, the rest of the hotel such as the hallways and elevators does show age. We arrived at the hotel at around 2:20pm hoping that we...

"The night check in was smooth. The receptionist is nice. I am just not sure the water in the fridge is free or not so I didn’t drink it. The bed and the pillows are comfy and i am so happy the slippers are provided. The aircon is a bit noisy tho. I wish toothbrush, tooth paste and earring plugs can be provided"

"The room was very clean, and the staff very helpful. I reported a leak in the bathroom and that was quickly fixed the next morning. The view of Sydney Harbour was wonderful, really great. Having buses right at the door to the property is excellent, as is having a supermarket underneath. It is a great location for a more budget-friendly stay in a good part of Sydney,"

"Heritage style hotel. Very affordable. Simple and clean."

"The property is well located, with convenient access to Metro and bus services, as well as a good selection of nearby eateries. The gym is well equipped, and having access to laundry facilities is a definite advantage. Check in was fast. Staff are courteous and always willing to assist (including the cleaning staff)"

"Convenient location and efficient checkin. Unfortunately room had a strong, pervasive stale cooking smell (old oil and curry) I guess from the kitchenette which was unpleasant and got into clothes / hair etc. Room and facilities were ok - but this made the room nearly uninhabitable and we were glad to leave."

"Room was neat. Recommend that use air freshener in the reception area"

"Place is right across the street from train station, which is convenient. The apartment is a bit outdated and has a big musky smell but it was comfortable. The parking is a bit tight. Place offered penty of supplies for cooking or doing your washing. Overall it was nice."

"Very happy with the stay, very convenient for a one night pub stay. Staff super friendly"

"Bathroom was dirty, bed ordinary, pillows flat, breakfast lovely help yourself etc."
